World's Tallest Water Slide

Located on 9400 State Ave, Kansas City, KS, is Schlitterbahn: Home of the World's Tallest Water Slide. Schlitterbahn is located close to the border between Kansas and Missouri. Schlitterbahn was opened in 2009 and. Since then four new rides have been opened, including the Verrückt. Verrückt means insane in German, deceivingly so, because the Verrückt includes a 17 story drop. This ride is 168 feet 7 inches tall, slightly taller than Niagara Falls (167 feet) and takes one massive drop before one last hill, though not nearly as tall, and finally comes to an end. The ride only lasts around 10 second, and peaks at a speed of 60 to 70 mile per hour. Despite this tiny amount of time that the ride lasts, hundreds of people are still willing to stand in line for hours to ride the world's tallest water slide.
Though many come to Schlitterbahn to ride the Verrückt, there are also a lot more things to do there. There is a giant lazy river, wave pool, and 7 other slides. Schlitterbahn is an all around great place to visit for lots of family fun.

The entire building is covered in mosaic tile art that has been created by the local citizens.
